It used to come naturally

If not,

I’d flounder in the unknown

And scramble my way to a

Or at least a way to cope

Or at least a place of comfort

In the unknowing

But now

I search for answers

In an electric universe

So vast and full

But empty at the same time

Typing my questions

Fingers dancing across little plastic

Tap tap taps

Soaking up all that I find

With a hunger

From the trivial

How do you poach an egg?

To the fundamental

How do you make friends?

How do you write? I forget

Maybe it’s the other way around

Maybe things are better this way

But most likely,

Just the same
